Did You Fail At Something?
If the answer is "no," good job! But do not get too cocky. But if you tried something and you did not get the results you wanted, you have three basic choices:
- try again right away (that would be great),
- cry and try again (it is okay to cry sometimes, and at least you are trying once more), or
- give up and quit.
Without a doubt, all success stories have a firm foundation of failures. The difference is those that are successful have the mental strength to try again.
Failure Is Not A Reason To Give Up?
When people quit and decide to no longer pursue their initial goal, the reasons are usually one of two fundamental issues:
- their desire to succeed was not strong enough, or
- they are terrified of success.
Trying to rationalize why you gave up beyond that is likely just an excuse for not achieving your dreams. Instead, take the opportunity when things do not go as planned to look back at what steps you missed or need to work on a little more. You might have to come up with a new strategy to get what you want.
It is important for us all to know that not winning every race, or achieving every goal on your first attempt is not shameful. Everyone loses or falls short during their lives. The ones that do not are not growing and learning.
Take a look at the chart below the next time things do not go as you planned. It should help you make the right decision when you find yourself in that situation.
Last Thing To Remember About Failure
If people are counting on you, it is more important that you do your very best to keep striving to reach your goals. But it is your decision. And if your goals need to be changed or simplified, that is okay too. Always be proud of yourself because you are special and will make a long-lasting impression on everyone you meet throughout your life.Watch More Crash Course Kids Videos
